The Existence of Lazarus Species
There is an ongoing battle between creationists and evolutionists that will seemingly never end. Evolutionists will always use statistics and the scientific method to attempt to prove the things they believe are true; however, even what they have "proven" has very serious flaws. One glaring hole in the theory of evolution is the existence of "Lazarus species." Lazarus species are animals which, according the evolution theory, were supposed to have gone extinct millions or even billions of years ago that have been found surviving in nowadays.
The question is - if these species are in the evolutionary chain and are supposed to have evolved at some point, why are they still in existence today in the same form they were in millions of years ago? For creationists, the answer is simple. Many species of animals probably suffered extinction during the flood with a few of them surviving. The Earth was a very lush place with an abundance of animals before the flood; however, the effects of the flood were devastating to the ecosystem. These Lazarus species have most likely been endangered for a long period of time while still managing to hold on for all these years.
The existence of Lazarus species is one scientific fact that evolutionist have a tough time explaining. It puts a major hole in their theory, as these species should either be extinct or have evolved by now. Only adding to the damage is that there are not just one but several Lazarus species still around. Again, how are all these species still around? Why have they not evolved? God has left us these clues for our own sake. Evolution is nothing more than mathematical equations. By looking at the evidence that is all around us, we find that this world is not by chance but by a powerful designer.
